Fantastic experience: Paul is an exceptional and passionate driving instructor even for someone like me with a relevant amount of driving experience. I highly recommend him to any aspiring student. Fantastic experience: A great combination of using simulator and on-road driving to make you a safer and more confident road-user. This actually gets you to the test quicker and in a great position to pass. Paul is unflappable and instantly puts you at ease, smoothing out any anxieties and regardless of any previous experience you might have. All at extremely competitive rates. Fantastic experience: Our daughter has recently had driving lessons with Paul, and passed her restricted test on the first attempt. Training on the simulator first is a great option as it prepares learners well for real life driving. Paul is an excellent tutor, who takes the time to understand his students and makes the whole process an enjoyable one. We are confident that our daughter has been taught well and has the necessary skills to be a confident and safe driver.

He went above and beyond helping me to pass the full license test. Fantastic experience: Paul was fantastic with teaching my daughter to drive. The simulator is a great addition to the teaching process. He is very amiable and really cares a lot about his students. On her first attempt at getting her restricted my daughter failed -- mainly due to nerves. He was great at getting her through that and ready for the next test where the result was close to perfect. Fantastic experience: Could not recommend Paul enough.my son has Asperger's and was very anxious about driving. He started in the simulator then progressed into a vehicle when he was comfortable. Paul made him feel comfortable and helped him ease into driving when he was ready. If it wasn't for Paul my son wouldn't be driving and be confident at it. Thanks heaps Paul. Anyone can turn on the car and start it, but how to drive safely is what's being taught during road lesson. It's the little things that I never thought about that I learned from my good driving instructor Paul. He was patient with me and was a very good supporter when I had my restricted test. Failed my first attempt for my restricted through another driving school after which I heard about Excellence Driving Academy. Paul is the best instructor out there, very friendly and calming. Passed my test in the first go with the help of Paul. Will go back to them for my full licence.

Simulator experience is great, it gives you so much confidence before you actually drive on the road. Fantastic experience: Paul coached me right from the start to drive a manual car. I was very nervous and Paul made me feel comfortable and safe when I was on the road. I was expecting it to be difficult in a manual car but after just a few lessons I was able to cope with regular traffic. We covered all the skills including hill driving and the dreaded hill starts, which I was able to master. Now I feel confident to handle any situation that I may face. Thanks to Paul's help I was able to pass my restricted test first time. I don't think I would have without his input. Now I feel confident to drive any type or car anywhere in NZ that I want too. Thank you again for helping me achieve this.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to become a more competent driver to suit the conditions of New Zealand roads. The simulator helped me to get the basics right and learnt from my mistakes in a stress-free and safe environment. The simulator is designed to tackle the hard stuff, which puts yourself in a position to react to the ‘worst case scenario’. Through that learning environment, I was able to drive confidently on my first 'on the road' lesson with Paul and able to act things when there were a few mishaps on the road (also my nervousness of driving in a foreign country was gone). I highly recommend Excellence Driving Academy (and Paul is a great lad to be with if you’re in Christchurch) and you’ll learn important driving skills that even other driving schools don’t often teach you. Ps: I’ve successfully converted my Overseas License to a New Zealand License! Afterwards, I continue to have lessons with Paul to be more skilled in New Zealand roads. Now I'm able to drive knowing that I'm in good hands.
