Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed learner with theses guys sadly they shut down there office at end of last month I was upset I couldn't continue with them as they really help me alot and others the driving instructor were amazing the ones I had but definitely wish them all best in there next journey

I sat quietly in the back as Derek calmly quietly encouraged my son through round abouts traffic lights the lot. I am so grateful to Derek he is a wonderful teacher. Fantastic experience: I don't normally do reviews but this time I wanted to share my a bit of my story and my experience with proactive and in particular my instructor Henare Kiri-Kiri. Yesterday I passed my full drivers license and even tho I haven't won lotto before that is how I felt. I got my restricted license 20 years ago so this was a long time coming, over the years I lost a lot of confidence not with driving but in myself but I decided as I came up to turning 40 that I would push thru my fears and as a single mum (one of which just turned 16) i wanted my kids to see me follow thru with my license. It's also given me the confidence to do more things I've put off Go see the guys and girls at proactive!! Without the teaching and encouragement I wouldn't be sitting here this morning with my full license. Thanks proactive and big thanks to Henare

Fantastic experience: I choose H, (Henare) when I booked my lesson. I came into the lessons with no confidence left within myself, very anxious, shy, low self-esteem, depression you name it. My very first lesson with H, he instantly made me feel comfortable. Throughout our lessons we laughed, we talked, we even panicked together when my daughter was late home from school as I was leaving for my lesson. H made everything okay. The support he gave me, the comfort I felt. It was more like a Sunday drive with a friend. He even set up a mock test with John, in which I passed. Today I sat my full licence and I passed. No errors, no notes to take home. I thought I was going to fail due to nerves and no confidence in myself. But H kept reassuring me I'd be fine. I did start getting anxious and at that time I remembered John saying in my mock test it's okay to breathe, so I did. I couldn't have done it without all your help Henare. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. And thank you John for the advice, I might have turned blue. Thank you

Fantastic experience: Our second teenager to be taught by Jo and once again we cannot recommend her highly enough. She reads them well to know how to balance the positive vs negative feedback. We live rurally and Jo was flexible to meet us whenever suited us all.

Fantastic experience: Jo was really helpful and is the reason I passed my test on my first go

Negative experience: We just about got wiped out at a round about in Rolleston when one of these driving instructors didn't slow down and didn't even look. Once again these Indian drivers need to take more care. Not happy.

Fantastic experience: My driving instructor Mike McRandle was an amazing driving teacher! He helped me a lot with my confidence, He was kind, thoughtful and caring, He explained things in a way I understood and he was just very helpful :)

Fantastic experience: My twin daughters had Jo take them for driving lessons before their restricted. Very happy to say both passed with 'flying colours' with one of the testers telling the daughter he took that she was a very very good driver for someone of her age with no errors. Great communication by Jo prior to their lessons with the little things making a huge difference. One daughter has to pararell park behind a van. Thanks to Jo's advice on the difference lengths of cars, she performed it perfectly. Thanks again Jo.

Fantastic experience: Leading Learners Course is a must for all young drivers. I have attended it separately with both of my girls. It provides real life scenarios and opportunities to practice lifesaving skills in a controlled environment. The facilitators are fun, friendly and know their stuff.

Both of them greatly improved my driving skills and confidence, ensuring that I became a safe and consistent driver to pass my practical test on the first try. Fantastic experience: Over the course of my lessons I had the opportunity to drive with three different instructors. John, H and Ward were all amazing instructors and they all made my learning experience calm and enjoyable. They all cracked jokes and had conversations with you. The car is never quiet with them which makes the experience even better. I passed my test because of these instructors. They always gave me tips and tricks on how to pass and they take you out for a drive before the test so you can get relaxed and touch up on anything you may need to. I recommend proactive drive for anyone needing driving lessons

Fantastic experience: I finished a defensive driving course with Tim and Jonny. They are pretty amazing, so knowledgeable and experienced. Also, I have taken some driving lessons with Mr. Ward S.. Ward is a terrific instructor and I've had a great time.

Fantastic experience: I recently had lessons with both Ward and Henare in preparation for sitting my restricted after putting it off for many years. Both experiences were great and reassuring in my ability as a competent and safe driver with a few pointers given to work on to ensure I passed the test with no hiccups. Fantastic experience: I have recently completed lessons in my vehicle newly modified (with hand controls) with instructor Tim Hartnell. I was unbelievably apprehensive at the outset and together with the “fear of the unknown” mindset, the prospect of my first lesson was nerve wracking. Tim was outstandingly supportive and patient, reassuring me every step of the way, to the point where after fifteen minutes he had me out in traffic. Amazingly, with Tim’s cheerful, positive reinforcement, after two more lessons he informed me that in his opinion I didn’t need him anymore and I was ready to “fly solo”. I just cannot thank Tim enough as this will change my life in enabling me to retain my independence for years to come ( I’m 70 by the way), so - many, many, thanks Tim. You can teach an old dog new tricks after all.

Fantastic experience: I did one of there defensive driving in amberley, over the 4 practical sessions i had Tim and Brendon. They did an amazing job and tried to make the paper work as fun as it could be. They answered all questions asked and just overall did an amazing job and i learnt alot from them. Then for my drive i got John and he was amazing also helping me with nerves and very positive to help and teach. Thankyou all so much, really recommend this course

Fantastic experience: My driving instructor was John Langan and today i just passed my restricted licence first try at 17, before i started driving lessons with john i was lacking confidence with driving because of past experiences and without john it would of taken me a long time too build the skills and most definatly build the confidence too go for my test. John made me feel confident he taught me all of the skills i would possibly need for any on road situation and never failed too make me feel comfortable driving and i could never explain how greatful i am too have had him as a driving instructor. If anyone reads this and is looking for a great driving instructor proactive drive is the place and john langan is the person :)

Fantastic experience: Jo was amazing with my 16-year-old son. She is patient and calm and most importantly, taught my son how to be safe on the road. Proactive Drive was very organized, and we always got email reminders and texts. Jo provided links for my son to access resources for him to learn from at home. I cannot recommend Proactive Drive highly enough.
