Ride Cloud 9 Motorcycle Training and Licencing

Fantastic experience: Damien was truly amazing. His instructions were clear, detailed and laid out in a logical sequence that was easy to follow. I felt safe and supported and even when I made stupid mistakes, Damien was calm and patient and just adjusted the pace to match my ability and progress. He is clearly very passionate about riding, generous with his time, incredibly well-informed, and calm and rational in his approach. I highly recommend Cloud9 to anyone going for their motorcycle license. You couldn’t ask for a better instructor!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend! Damian is undoubtedly one of the best coaches in Auckland - strict when needed but also fair and has a great sense of humour. Most importantly he genuinely cares about his students and wants to ensure they learn to ride safely, and puts great emphasis on the fundamental riding skills. I first booked a riding course with Damian in late March 2024, as I was too nervous to take my bike into traffic. By early April the bike became my daily driver thanks to his coaching. I've since done my CBTA-R with Damian and I'll definitely be returning to take my CBTA-F next year. Thanks again for helping me tick something off my bucket list this year!

Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend Damian enough! Ride Cloud9 is not your typical cookie cutter examiner. They are all incredibly knowledgeable and helpful during the coaching phase. During the exam it felt like riding with an old friend! If you’re reading this and tossing up between this and another place stop looking and just book. Done 6R and now 6F Thanks mate.

Fantastic experience: I've waited a few months since riding with Damian, to see how well the tips and corrections he gave, stuck. I'm pleased to say my riding has improved considerably and I'm a safer rider for it. I wish all car and motorbike instructors were as strict, but fair, as Damian. The roads would be a safer place for everyone if they were. Damian's instructions and explanations were clear and concise, and I greatly appreciate his tuition. Now to get ready for my full licence!

Fantastic experience: Couldn’t recommend Ride Cloud 9 enough, Damian is an excellent coach who will guide you through each step in accordance with your skill level. Did my BHST with Ride Cloud 9 and came back for my Urban Basics course, both times coming out with more confidence and knowledge.

Fantastic experience: A great experience, if you are looking to get your license you need not look elsewhere. Professional, knowledgeable , clear and precise instructions. I was nervous about the test initially however, that all changed as soon as we got underway. 100 percent recommend getting the coaching session beforehand was excellent and I feel I have come away as a better rider. Fantastic experience: Absolutely loved my learning experience with Damian - down to earth, knowledgeable, friendly and relaxed! And he does make you feel the same way too even though you're technically doing a formal test. Didn't quite get enough of him after my learners, and came back two weeks later for my restricted. Will be back for my full and a Ride Forever course! Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I strongly recommend Ride Cloud 9 for anyone wanting to get into motorcycling, especially those who are nervous or totally new to it. Damien goes above and beyond to ensure you get the best coaching possible. He doesn’t just treat you as another booking, but rather does all he can to make sure you leave safe, skilled, and passionate. I not only learned a lot about basic handling, I also learned a lot about facing fears and how to improve my own teaching skills. He’s a master at work and I will be going back to him for all licensing and coaching. Without him, I would have given up before ever passing.

The coaching is well worth it, what is expected is explained very clearly and Damian was a great coach and really helped take away the stress of getting tested. Overall a great experience!

Fantastic experience: Wow. I had the most amazing time with these guys. At 51 I was coming to biking later in life but was made to feel really relaxed. I loved my learners course and follow on road session. It felt like this was more than simply learning to ride but the start of something more. I can’t wait to do more courses and get more experienced with Cloud Nine. They’ve been amazing.

Fantastic experience: I recently completed the "Get your Learner license - Beginner" course with Damian. I would highly recommend this course for anyone with limited riding experience that wants to get their motorcycle license. Damian was great, the session was well organised (I arrived 5 minutes early and he was waiting with the session set up), and we moved at my own pace. Damian also gave some tips for passing the theory test, which I competed first try. I look forward to joining the CBTA course to get my restricted license earlier.
