Fantastic experience: I first sought out Empowered Journeys to begin my own motorcycle journey with the Learn To Ride course and Basic Handling Skills. Neil's professionalism and obvious dedication (not to mention supreme patience!) is so valuable that I kept coming back and completed two Bronze Ride Forever courses, my Restricted licence, Silver Ride Forever courses, and then, to my great joy, my Full licence assessment. Neil is unbelievably good at what he does! Now, as a full-license rider but having recently purchased a new and more powerful motorcycle, I have come back to Empowered Journeys again to attend another Silver course. Once again I have received extremely valuable instruction and feedback. I truly appreciate Neil's constant ability to adapt and cater to all levels of rider and all types of motorcycle. His instruction with urban, rural, and highway riding, plus slow-speed manoeuvring and emergency braking, is delivered in a consistent and easy-to-understand manner. Thank you again Neil! Fantastic experience: Speaking to other women riders, I have heard that some Ride Forever coaches are show offs and bolshy... Not Neil at Empowered Journeys. Neil is sensitive to the level of the rider he is working with, and pitches the training accordingly without cutting corners and building confidence in the process. He is thorough and clear in his delivery. If you are new, or experienced, a guy or a gal, I highly recommend Neil for Basic courses, private tuition, or Ride Forever training. He has empowered my journey.

Fantastic experience: Really worthwhile for improving riding skills, reducing risks while riding and overall awareness. Also lots of insights into how assessors mark you during a test, so I feel more confident going into my restricted test, knowing what they are looking for.

Fantastic experience: These courses ARE a must for us vulnerable road users. But never forget we must take some responsibility for the way interact with other road users. By doing the courses for whatever ability we have, or think we have, reinforces or reminds us how to ride safely and responsibly. I have completed bronze silver and gold now and each time the instructors have improved the skills I had forgotten about and given me new ones to take forward and advance my riding in the future. I have been riding for 36 years and i know these courses are SO valuable in getting me safely back to my family. Thanks to Neil Stodard from Empowered Journeys for expertise and professionalism making It an absolute blast( I was lucky enough to have a 1 on 1 session) , learnt heaps took away a few things to practise and HIGHLY recommend him. Fantastic experience: Neil is an excellent teacher. Pointing out our errors, showing us how to correct our faults and encouraged us when we did well. We were able to ask questions and answers were incorporated into the lesson. Riding to servive often requires an attitude change as much as instruction and we were encouraged to do this. Well worth the time.

Fantastic experience: I had a very informative day on the Silver Ride Forever riding course, improving my riding skills, and learning how to try to avoid the dangers we face as motorcyclists. I came away from the course far more knowledgeable than I went in. A couple of weeks later, I joined Neil again for Combined coaching and Full license assessment, which happily I passed. Great and precise tuition; Neil explains in a way that makes it easy to understand. I have attended Neil's Offroad training day and had a private lesson to improve my confidence cornering. Fantastic experience: I took a full day “Ride Forever” Bronze course and also my restricted licence training (and test) with Neil. He is clearly very passionate about his work, and is an excellent, professional instructor. His tutelage was a great blend of preparing you for passing the test itself, and also tips and tricks for staying safe on the road more generally. I’m a more confident and capable rider now. I will definitely be back to do my Silver course when the time comes, and would heartedly recommend Neil to anyone looking to improve their riding or go for a licence.

Fantastic experience: I have done a silver and gold course with Neil, he explains things really well and makes you think. Well worth doing, Every motorcyclist should do the ride forever courses. You will learn something that could save your life. Learning about the best place to be on the road, riding lines, practicing emergency braking, doing u turns, counter steering. Well worth it. also it was free this month and now I can claim back $100 for 2 years from Acc. Thats awesome.

Fantastic experience: I attended the Ride Forever Silver course, by Empowered Journeys. Very professional and effective motorcycle skills course. Good mix of theory and practical tuition. I have been riding on-and-off for 20 years and I took a trove of new learnings away with me and highly recommend the course for anyone wanting to fine tune their skills and learn more advanced techniques. Neil is a top instructor with amazing detail in his explanations. The course is very friendly, relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable. Highly recommended. For me, the Gold course is a must in the future.

Fantastic experience: Definitely recommend, the combined coaching and restricted license assessment. Neil was professional but friendly, upto the point tips and important info were given throughout the course all the way up to the assessment part. I was very happy to pass at the end but probably wouldn’t have with out the coaching. Now looking forward to do the Silver Ride forever course soon. Fantastic experience: I cant speak highly enough of Neil and his professionalism towards guiding me in getting my full Class 6 license which I now have achieved. It all started with him assessing me for my basic handling skills and right through to now with my full license. I highly recommend anyone who wants to get the class 6, to do the whole thing with Neil and also strongly recommend doing his Bronze and Silver "Ride Forever" classes in the mix. Fantastic experience: I've now done Bronze, Silver, and Gold Ride Forever courses with Neil, and have enjoyed them all and learnt new things every time. Neil manages the course and group well, regardless of weather and road conditions, and creates a safe learning environment. On the most recent Gold course we had grotty weather, which Neil made great use of to teach safe riding in those conditions, and also on a short gravel section, which came in extremely useful on a touring trip in similar conditions a short while later, where I felt much more confident having done the course. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant, highly recommended! I did the The Ride Forever Bronze course and also a couple of hours one on one . Both were excellent. So full of information, and many new skills learned. Neil has the patience of a saint, so calm ,understanding & encouraging. Very reassuring to be in the presence of someone so experienced skilled & professional. He uses a really good Bluetooth communication system so he’s always in contact and with his calm, clear communication it’s easy to follow instructions or ask for advice. Can’t thank him enough & I’ll definitely be back to do the silver & gold courses.
