Fantastic experience: Such a well run facility

Fantastic experience: Taupo International circuit is a fun track. I raced on the old track in the late 80's/early 90's and the track back them was super short and had no facilities. Now days the track has something for everyone: a tricky twisty infield, some wide open fast corners, the original sweeper on to the main straights which has always been tricky to get right and the esses before the strat/finish straight which is awesome when you get it right. The garages are excellent, the coffee cart is awesome and the Marshall's are all friendly. There's even grandstand now days! Great day out. Colin.....

Negative experience: Best hope you don't want to ask these guys any questions because after messaging them on Facebook, Instagram and listening to their reception phone endlessly ring, I'm beginning to think they just don't answer anyone

Positive experience: Great venue. Suggest during large events you catch the bus from town as it can take ages to get out of the carpark.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience for Supercars. Could do with more food/drink outlets. Also entry/exit could be improved. However this was the first major event of this scale so the team ran it very very well. The couple of improvements I've highlighted will most likely already be noted & work done to improve by the next event. Extremely well run event, the tram should be proud.

Fantastic experience: Excellent track for international racing events, now that it has had all of the upgrades, the first V8 Supercars and all of the supporting races was awesome even in the rain, plenty of amenities at the event, no matter where you sit around the track you weren't too far from the food trucks, bars and toilets, easy to navigate around the track, walkways were well laid out, access to check out the pits was excellent too. Maybe after the revenue that is taken from a few more of these events they may consider installing shade/rain covering over the Grandstands to protect the patrons from the prevailing winds and rain.

Fantastic experience: Had my first car motorsport experience on Sunday 11/02. Organizing, Booking, Qualifying, all a piece of cake. Management and staff could not have been more helpful through out the day. Special mention to George and Hayden for advise during and after the event. I will definitely be getting involved on a regular basis.

Fantastic experience: Hot Laps with Andre Heimgartner in a Porsche GT 3. Just brilliant, to be propelled around the track by Andre was amazing. Andre was so relaxed and so accomplished. Thanks to Andre and the Taupo Motorsport Team, best present a 60+ could get for a birthday. Thanks to my wife for getting it.

Fantastic experience: Lots of room and relatively flat. Easy to get to and was quiet. Nothing happening at either race track. Cats enjoyed going for a walk on their leads. Was a cold wind blowing.

Fantastic experience: I've attended several track events here and they have all been very well run. A shame they charge an extra $50 for a garage as it makes an expensive day of $275 for each motorbike for 75 minutes of track time.They do however offer a refund or voucher if the weather turns bad or you can't make it. Last week only five garages were used. I would suggest a $10 fee or better still, no fee for a garage. This would encourage people into the garages and a better social atmosphere while clearing the car park of bikes, tents and generators. Better for safety too l imagine.

Fantastic experience: Taupo Motorsport Park went to great lengths to accommodate us on the test day after there was an issue with running on the day. It was veery much appreciated.

Positive experience: Decent location, parking pretty good, food and drink options around. Horrendous and ongoing problems with flying ants - bring bug spray or repellent. Only one spectator area, but the view is great.

Negative experience: Track looks good but it was not up to scratch the day I went there to see bike racing. There was a problem with recent repairs which meant the weekends racing was cancelled. Wish they had put that on the website the day before I travelled from Hamilton. Very disappointing.

Positive experience: Great place cant wait till sat for the start of the bike races

Positive experience: We went through to Taupo to watch the Rotarys and the summer series which was enjoyable except for the weather. The track repairs on turn 7 were giving a few problem as it was falling apart making it harder for the drivers and their cars. Nothing that can't be fixed up.

Negative experience: Under new ownership the Taupo track is now terrible!!! Cutting the back straight in half for events, no more burnout pad or drag strip!!! Events still cost the same yet can’t offer what they use to :(

We have both been to other track days elsewhere, but this one was by far the best. The organisation was superb and the two briefings by Martin were so professional, and absolutely reassuring that the staff there were keeping a good eye driving standards. Positive experience: It's a car raceway. It's what you expect with little reason to go otherwise. A niggle is cannot easily hear the announcements when in a pit, a 10 second buzzer before an announcement would be useful.
